Today‘s reality of life is decisively shaped by rapid change, permanent stimulus influences, multitasking and digitalization. The video installation Entschleunigung, with its nature shots and long video sequences, offers an antipole to this fast-paced world, demands the perseverance of the viewer and, through its poetry of the everyday, reminds us to be mindful. All the shots as well as the field recordings were taken at the Sihlfeld cemetery, which breaks through the hectic, narrow city with spaciousness and tranquility. The german term „Entschleunigung“ refers to the process or act of slowing down the pace of life, activities, or thought processes.
